Three-time festival winner Tiger Roll will start the build-up to the defence of his Grand National crown by returning to Cheltenham on Friday.

Gigginstown's eight-year-old is being aimed at the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase – a race to be shown live on ITV4 – by Gordon Elliott, who reckons there is still plenty of mileage in the versatile chaser.

"Tiger Roll will more than likely head to Cheltenham on Friday," the trainer said. "We are keen to keep going down the cross-country path with him and Friday might be a good starting point."
