Last year's Kerry National winner Rogue Angel, who went on to land the Irish Grand National later in the season, could defend his crown at Listowel on Wednesday week after featuring among the 36 entries for the €175,000 contest.

Rogue Angel won the race narrowly 12 months ago off a mark of 133, but is 11lb higher this time around and is set to carry 10st 7lb if top-weight Alelchi Inois takes his chance.

The defending champion is one of four possibles for Mouse Morris, who could run popular veteran First Lieutenant, Folsom Blue and 2015 Irish Grand National winner Thunder And Roses, who has joined him from Sandra Hughes.
