Tip Two Win was one of the revelations of the spring and trainer Roger Teal now believes he has the three-year-old back near his best after giving him plenty of time to recover from his exertions during the first half of the year.

Bred and owned by Anne Cowley, Tip Two Win racked up the air miles last winter with two successful trips to Qatar before almost springing a mighty shock when finding only Saxon Warrior too good in the 2,000 Guineas.

After finishing fourth in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, Tip Two Win was showing signs of those efforts catching up with him by the time he failed to figure in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.
