Robbie Power: 'Teahupoo's the unknown quantity in Champion, he's a contender'

Robbie Power still has no idea how good Teahupoo really is and it is that unknown factor which has him so excited about taking on Honeysuckle in next month's Unibet Champion Hurdle.

Paddy Power slashed Teahupoo to 8-1 (from 20-1) for the day one showpiece at the Cheltenham Festival after he slammed his six rivals, including last year's Triumph Hurdle winner Quilixios, in the Grade 3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park on Saturday.

Teahupoo received a Racing Post Rating of 165 for that impressive performance and, while he has serious respect for the unbeaten superstar Honeysuckle, Power thinks Teahupoo brings the unknown factor into the Champion Hurdle equation which is now looking a little bit trickier to solve following Saturday's performance.
