Sophie Doyle is hoping for positive news today as she looks to get her successful riding career in America back on track after breaking her collarbone in a race spill in May.

Doyle, older sister of Godolphin jockey James, decided to move stateside in 2013 after her riding career in Britain stuttered to an unsatisfactory halt, but she has swiftly reversed her fortunes with 108 winners from more than 1,100 rides in the US.

The 29-year-old broke new ground when riding Fioretti in the Filly & Mare Sprint at last year’s Breeders’ Cup and had made a good start to 2016 with 29 winners on the board when injury struck at Churchill Downs on May 26.
