Retired racehorses such as Dubai World Cup winning pair of Prince Bishop and African Story. and all-weather record holder La Estrella are expected to be a big draw when the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art finally opens its doors in Newmarket this month.

The horses are among those the public will be able to get up close to at the Retraining Of Racehorses (ROR) section of the £15 million site at Palace House.

The project, which took over three years to finish, is expected to be open to the public for the first time at the 32Red Newmarket open weekend on September 17 and 18, with a more formal opening scheduled for later in the year, possibly by the Queen.
