Zamjar rounds off year to remember for champion apprentice

No year is so good that it can't get better with yet another victory – ask Josephine Gordon.

She was back in the winner's enclosure after landing the nursery on Zamjar for Ed Dunlop, making it 87 successes in 2016 for the champion apprentice – who had started the year with just 17 to her name.

Those efforts earned her the awards for top apprentice and top lady jockey at the Stobart Lesters and Gordon said: "It's been a very good year.
