Min may not have been at his brilliant best but his second consecutive John Durkan Memorial Chase success proved he has plenty of toughness to match his talent.

The Susannah Ricci-owned eight-year-old dug deep when it mattered to see off Hardline, but the Willie Mullins-trained winner's jumping wasn't anywhere near as slick as we know it can be.

Judged on how he saw out this test, he would be an interesting candidate for the King George VI Chase and the 40-1 available with Paddy Power is tempting, but an 18-day turnaround makes his participation questionable.
