Workmanlike Andy Dufresne leads home 341-1 four-timer for Gordon Elliott

Andy Dufresne was the headline act in a poor turnout of just three for the feature Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Klairon Davis Novice Chase, recording a workmanlike success over main market rival Embittered under Mark Walsh.

A solid performance it was despite the horse's tendencies to jump left, and Paddy Power responded by cutting him to 16-1 (from 25) for the Arkle and left him unchanged at 16-1 for the Marsh Novices' Chase.

The trainer said: "He knew he had a race from the last and I would say he wants two-mile-four. Christmas will probably come too soon for him and I would say he'll be one for a race like the Ryanair Cup at Easter."
