It is not often John Gosden uses the term “quality horse”, but he did after the three-year-old routed the opposition under Frankie Dettori in division two of the mile novice stakes, despite having to carry a 7lb penalty.

Paddy Power cut the six-length winner to 12-1 (from 20) for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas on Saturday week but the first indications were that Without Parole could well go up in trip next time – he holds an entry in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York next month.
