Winter ranks up with the best Irish 1,000 Guineas winners this side of the millennium after coasting to an impressive success.

The strong-travelling grey was eased in the final strides but still had four and three-quarter lengths to spare over stablemate Roly Poly (108), who stayed on to snatch second.

With an RPR of 119 Winter matches Imagine and Jet Setting as one of the highest-rated winners of the Curragh classic since 2000.
