Winter Power shed her maiden tag at the third time of asking when powering clear of her eight rivals in the opening 5f nursery handicap and could turn out again at Goodwood this week.

Having settled nicely early on under David Allan, the daughter of Bungle Inthejungle proved different class when cantering five lengths clear at the line.

Winning trainer Tim Easterby, who enjoyed a 379-1 treble on the card along with Allan, told Racing TV: "She's always been a really nice filly, I thought we were going to go to Ascot with her after Newcastle but she then came out with a mucky nose after Wolverhampton. That scuppered our plans completely."
