Windsor Avenue maintained his unbeaten record over fences and left Brian Ellison purring in the process after producing a superb jumping performance under Brian Hughes to beat the high-class Ballymoy at Carlisle.

Spectators at the testing Cumbria course have seen thrilling displays over fences by Lostintranslation and Brewin'upastorm in recent weeks, and regulars will put Windsor Avenue in the same bracket after his impressive win in the 2m4f novice chase.

Windsor Avenue's wide-margin win at Sedgefield last month had been franked since and although Ballymoy, rated 151 over hurdles, tried his hardest to restrict the seven-year-old's dominance but was no match for the winner from two fences from home.
