Viewers of ITV Racing may have been intrigued to hear John Gosden picked up a "ticket" for Enable before the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

This means Gosden requested the dual Arc winner be loaded late into the stalls.

If three tickets are picked up for the same horse a stalls test is required before they can run again – this was the first time a ticket was requested for Enable in her 13 career starts.

Explained: The late loading request

Requesting a late load does not guarantee the horse will be last in the stalls – the starters may decide that more problematic horses will be loaded last for safety reasons.

The purpose of the stalls test after three tickets is to make sure a horse is capable of starting a race safely and efficiently.
