Weld waxes lyrical about Flavius following Trigo Stakes triumph

With so many superstars on show at Ascot you could be forgiven for forgetting Flavius. It might pay to remember his name next season though, as his trainer thinks he could be a bit special.
The third leg of a 112-1 treble for Dermot Weld undoubtedly gave him the most pleasure as he struggled to contain his excitement after Flavius travelled through the Listed Trigo Stakes like an extremely promising three-year-old before digging deep to fend off Flight Risk.
The performance was very good, Weld's reaction even better.
