Ward comment to be investigated by BHA

Trainer Jason Ward has been accused of making a racially offensive comment after Monte Cinq landed the 5f maiden.

Ward made the comments while being interviewed following the race and consequently faces action from the BHA which confirmed on Wednesday night that he will be spoken to.

Robin Mounsey, media manager for the BHA, said: "We are aware of the incident and will be taking the appropriate steps in relation to this matter. There is no place in British racing for racially offensive language and we are taking this matter very seriously."
