Virginia Chick provides special day for Williams family

Isabel Williams enjoyed what she described as probably her biggest winner when Virginia Chick landed the 2m7½f handicap hurdle, which was live on ITV4 and worth £30,000.

In a real family affair, the winner is trained by the amateur rider's father Evan and runs in the colours of her mother Catherine, while sister Ellie led up the six-year-old.

"That went really well and he's been a lovely horse for us," said the winning rider. "I could hear the crowd cheering once I jumped the last, but we're both Welsh so they were probably cheering for me and the horse.
