Victory dance for Foxtrot as Jennys returns in style

Despite reports to the contrary, owners are not always right. However, in the case of Jennys Surprise, the Fergal O'Brien-trained mare returning after a year off the track, they most certainly were as the decision to line up in the 3m2f handicap chase paid off handsomely.

"Fair play to the owners as I thought she needed it soft and when the forecast rain didn't arrive I told them if they had another race in mind to wait for that," said jockey Alain Cawley, who gained a third success since returning from six months on the sidelines after dislocating both shoulders in a fall at Kempton in October last year.

Jennys Surprise had been absent since unseating her rider in the Southern National at Fontwell, but made a successful comeback sporting the colours of Foxtrot Racing for the first time.
