A nine-strong raiding party from Shark Hanlon caught the eye, but it was his compatriot Gordon Elliott who once again proved the dominant force, winning with all four of his representatives.

Richard Johnson steered home the first three legs of the 32-1 accumulator – Make My Heart Fly, High Expectations and King's Song – while James Bowen took the armchair ride on long odds-on favourite Dinons in the finale.

Elliott said: "It's great to have four winners and it's fantastic for the owners.
