Mark Walsh set out on the road to Limerick hoping he might have a couple of winners, but Friday afternoon was one of those rare ones where everything went to plan, and a career-first four-timer at odds of 590-1 was the reward.

Walsh's winning run went one better than his principal employer J.P. McManus, who supplied three winners, and may even have surpassed the achievement of Kilmallock trainer Austin Leahy who saddled two in what was a rare double for him.

Leahy provided the winners of both 2m handicap hurdles for Walsh when Getoutwhenyoucan outbattled favourite Fairymount Boy while giving away almost two stone. Things were considerably more straightforward for bottom-weight Wait Here in the other 2m handicap hurdle when winning by an easy five-and-a-half lengths.
