Treble puts Tudhope in driving seat as he commits to title challenge

On the day Danny Tudhope committed himself to a tilt at the Flat jockeys' championship, the leading rider in the north extended his lead over Oisin Murphy at the top of the table to four with a treble at one of his happy hunting grounds.

Coral were among the bookmakers to trim his odds to 13-8 (from 5-2) for a first championship and the rider made a statement of intent with winning rides at Ripon on Infinite Grace in the 5f nursery, Alright Sunshine in the 1m4f handicap and Country in the 1m2f novice for older horses.

"I'm going to have to now," said Tudhope when asked if he was going all out for the title. Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, he added: "I'm there with a chance so I'll give it a go.
