One-time tearaway Top Ville Ben showed he had matured with an impressively settled victory in the 888Sport Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase at Wetherby.

Delighted trainer Phil Kirby is now eyeing a crack at the Randox Health Grand National or even the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup with the eight-length winner.

He was quick to credit work-rider Jennie Durrans after the invariably keen front-runner took a lead for a lap before scoring his third course win under Tommy Dowson.
