Tomily, third on All-Weather Finals day last year, set up another tilt at the Good Friday highlight with an impressive success in the 5f handicap under Hollie Doyle.

Placed in the three-year-old championship race a year ago, Tomily is gunning for the sprint championship this time around and, on this evidence, looks to be a credible contender.

“He’s as tough as old boots,” said the winning rider. “He was outpaced early on but the gaps came and he stuck his head through. Lingfield really suits because they go an honest gallop and he picks up the pieces at the end.”
