Tom Dascombe eyeing Superlative with 'lovely' Devious Company

It's not only Royal Ascot that throws up good two-year-olds. Devious Company has yet to step outside Class 5 company but looks decidedly smart.

Having battled to victory in a 7f maiden at Haydock on his debut, he had a 7lb penalty for his return in a novice event 15 days later and set a strong pace under Richard Kingscote.

But he still kept on strongly to score by three-quarters of a length and will now bid for the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket, a race Tom Dascombe won with Firth Of Fifth in 2008.
