Tizzard has Supreme confidence in Master Debonair after stylish Ascot victory

Colin Tizzard is eyeing the big spring festivals with Master Debonair after a taking success from the front in the Sky Bet Supreme Trial Novices’ Hurdle at Ascot.

Tizzard has a strong hand in the novice hurdle division after equally impressive wins this month by Fiddlerontheroof and The Big Breakaway, and he talked about Master Debonair – who bookmakers cut to 16-1 (from 33) for the Supreme – in similarly glowing terms, although his route to Cheltenham will be of much debate between trainer and the owners.

Tizzard said: "He was a better horse today than last time; he won well and was hardly blowing. He’s a beautiful young horse.
