Tim Easterby owed David Allan a debt of gratitude after landing a double, despite the jockey riding only one of his winners.

Allan showed his track nous when staying on the far side in the two big-field 6f handicaps and Easterby reaped the benefit on both occasions.

First, Duran Fentiman followed his colleague's lead as the only two runners on the far side filled the first two places, with the Easterby-trained 40-1 shot Lady Calcaria beating the Allan-ridden Staycation by a length.
