A passion for the sport stays with you for a lifetime and there is no doubting Bill Booth's enthusiasm, with the owner celebrating a 39th winner under rules with success in the feature £12,000 2m4f handicap chase.

Crosspark, trained by Caroline Bailey, was steered by Sean Bowen to a three-and-a-quarter-length win over Always On The Run, capping a fine ten days for Booth, who enjoyed success with the Alex Hales-trained Indian Native at Hereford last week.

He said: "It's a thrill to be at the track when your horse wins. When you're here and you have a winner it takes ten years off your life."
