Richard Hannon has a pleasant dilemma after Threat's Gimcrack victory. A day earlier Mums Tipple delivered an eyecatching 11-length win in the sales race, which elevated him into the reckoning as one of the top juvenile colts in Britain and Ireland.

Taking Mums Tipple's win at face value, there is seemingly little between the pair, which was reinforced by the times they clocked this week. Mums Tipple won in a time of 1min 9.32sec, while Threat was marginally slower at 1min 9.62sec.
