No Flat trainer is ending the turf season in better form than Tom Tate, who sent out his third straight winner as Awake My Soul landed the feature 1m2f handicap.

No wonder the money was down, with the eight-year-old backed from 9-2 into 2-1 favourite for a race his yard had gone close in for the last two years.

And those who played up their winnings from Tate's double at Newcastle last Friday were rewarded as Awake My Soul scored by a length under Jimmy Sullivan.
