One-time giveaway Avenue Des Champs showed he's a keeper for patient owners The Tuesday Club when returning from a 13-month absence to score on the North Denes.

The group may include members of both genders but it was an all-girl story out on the track with Josephine Gordon steering home her first winner for Jane Chapple-Hyam in the 1m6f handicap.

Chapple-Hyam, who was also on the mark at Catterick, has had to play the waiting game with the son of Champs Elysees but this win was not unexpected as the bottomweight was backed into 7-2 (from 5-1) before holding off favourite Saved By The Bell.
