The Jam Man, available at 18-1 with Paddy Power on Sunday night, ran out an easy winner of Southwell's 3m novice handicap chase, returning as the 9-4 favourite and costing the bookmaker a reported six-figure sum.

Trained and owned by Ronan McNally, The Jam Man had been beaten 57 and 98 lengths on his most recent starts, but was nonetheless supported in the market.

At the request of the integrity department at the BHA's London headquarters, the Southwell stewards interviewed McNally and jockey Aidan Coleman before the 3m contest.
