With a fist pump in the air and a smile on his face, owner Steve Parkin celebrated heartily as he enjoyed Lowther Stakes glory with Living In The Past.

Somewhat aptly named, it was a moving moment from the past which led to the Clipper Logistics man being so animated for this Group 2 victory.

Parkin explained: "Seven years ago, I won the Lowther with Rosdhu Queen, and then two days later my Dad died. It’s always special to have a winner at York, but this is a real poignant win."
