'That's amazing' - Curran shocked as he continues fantastic late November form
Racing comes with few certainties, but Sean Curran's strong late November form is pushing to be included in that category, and he notched another winner at a time his yard thrives the most when Unforgiving Minute ran out a shock winner of the 7f handicap.
The Lambourn trainer was surprised to find out that he has a 46 per cent strike-rate at this time of year and his fortunes increased with the evergreen nine-year-old, who got up on the line under a daring ride from Grace McEntee to win at 33-1 and register a fifth success at the Surrey track.
"Bloody hell, really? Wow, that's amazing – it's definitely a pleasant surprise!" a shocked Curran said when told about his November reign. "We had a good winter last year with all the older horses and it seems to be exactly the same this time around. We'll keep tipping along.
