Red-hot James Doyle made his trip to the West Midlands pay off, riding a four-timer courtesy of Queen Of Connaught, Raashdy, Summerseat Mist and Derrymore.

Doyle has now won on ten of his last 14 mounts – and the other four have all finished runner-up.

The jockey will be hoping his good fortune holds going into Newmarket this weekend, and while he has sometimes poured cold water on suggestions he could be a contender for the Stobart jockeys’ title, it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility if he is prepared to put in the miles.
