That's The Deal was the oldest runner in the field for the 2m7½f handicap chase, and an unfancied 25-1 shot, but clearly nobody told the 13-year-old as he jumped his rivals into submission.

John Cornwall's veteran made all under Ben Poste, and a fine round of jumping secured a nine-length win, as well as a ninth success over fences.

The trainer felt that a visit from the equine dentist had worked wonders. He said: "Last Monday David Waters came in and treated his teeth and it made a big difference.
