Grade 3-winning hurdler and useful Flat performer Davids Charm made a successful transition to chasing at Tipperary on Sunday, running out a six-length winner of a 2m1f beginners' chase after long-time leader Convara came to grief at the last.

John Joe Walsh's classy operator, who was sent off the 5-4 favourite, was probably going to get the upper hand over Andrew Slattery's performer, but the unfortunate faller wasn't a spent force at the time.

The Tom O'Brien-owned winner, who was ridden by Phillip Enright, boasts a mark of 149 over hurdles and gave the impression he will improve plenty for the initial experience over fences, jumping out to his right before his superior speed kicked in approaching the straight.
