Jason Watson, fresh from winning a big handicap at Ascot on Saturday, continued his fine season with a double as he moved on to 50 winners for the campaign.

The apprentice, who is based with Andrew Balding, leads the Stobart apprentice title race, starting the day eight victories ahead of nearest rival Rossa Ryan.

He reached his 50th success on the Hugo Palmer-trained Gododdin, making his challenge late on the son of Camelot.
