Sir Michael Stoute showed he is not about to give up his crown as the trainer with the mostest among his current rivals at Glorious Goodwood.

The Newmarket handler had looked in danger of being dethroned by Mark Johnston this week after the Middleham trainer cut the lifetime festival gap between them to three with two winners.

Stoute yesterday doubled his lead with a treble and helped wrap-up top-jockey honours again for Ryan Moore, who helped himself to his own treble with two of them to add to his Franklin D win.
