Stamp Your Feet, half the age of Court Minstrel and three years younger than Rayvin Black, fended off those redoutable rivals to land the £25,000 handicap hurdle and give owner JP McManus another winner on a memorable day.

His green-and-gold silks – arguably the most familiar in jump racing – found their way into the winner's enclosures at Cheltenham and Doncaster, and were first past the post in Hereford's feature.

Wearing them was Grand National-winning rider Niall 'Slippers' Madden, who did the steering on the Tom George-trained five-year-old.
