Spirit Raiser emulates dam by winning Listed race for Fanshawe
It was a case of daughter following in mother's footsteps in the Listed mile Pipalong Stakes for fillies and mares because the winner Spirit Raiser emulated her dam Macadamia, who had won the same race in 2003.
Ridden by Freddy Tylicki, Spirit Raiser had to work hard for her win as she didn't have the best of runs coming off the final bend and then once in the clear she really had to battle to get the better of Black Cherry by half a length.
