Spirit latest addition to possible festival team for Henderson

Nicky Henderson has a headache that many of his training colleagues would welcome as he tries to sort out targets from a staggering array of options at jump racing’s showpiece that is the Cheltenham Festival.

The trainer has a team bursting with talent and another to make a compelling claim for a place in the Cheltenham squad was Lough Derg Spirit.

The handsome five-year-old gave an exuberant display of front-running in the hands of Nico de Boinville on the second day of the track’s festival trials meeting.
