Some mare: Morning With Ivan wins fifth handicap since becoming a mother

Mother-of-one Morning With Ivan made it five wins from seven starts since giving birth to a foal when prevailing in a driving finish to the £15,000 2m handicap hurdle.

After having more than a year off, the eight-year-old has absolutely thrived since going back into training as, having won her first race after her foal off a mark of 79, she took this off 113 – a rise of 34lb.

Ridden by James Corbett, she was settled towards the rear but came late on the scene to get the better of Nendrum by three-quarters of a length.
