There was never a moment of worry for Soldier On Parade's backers in the opening juvenile hurdle as the Amy Murphy-trained three-year-old strolled to an easy success.

Sent off the 4-5 favourite, the Soldier On Parade was second on his hurdling debut to the useful Hiconic, and, despite a minor error at the last, cruised home 11 lengths clear of runner-up Prince Percy.

Soldier On Parade was continuing Murphy's excellent form, the trainer having saddled five winners from nine runners over jumps since racing's resumption.
