Smart Pacific De Baune has plenty to live up to after taking novice chase

The Highflyer Bloodstock Novices' Chase has a rich history with winners such as Sceau Royal, Top Notch, Bristol de Mai and Voy Por Ustedes, so this year's winner Pacific De Baune will go into many a notebook.

Three of those winners were owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, but it was the yellow colours of Sandy Orr which prevailed this time to repay the £60,000 the race sponsors laid out for the grey five-year-old at the Cheltenham sale in April 2017.

"It looks like we have another good one for Mr Orr," said Nicky Henderson, who trained the owner's 2013 Hennessy and Topham winner Triolo D'Alene.
