Slowmotion in name, but certainly not in nature. She is only five and should not have seen a fence for another year or two but Joseph O'Brien's decision to send her chasing is already paying handsome dividends as she bagged the feature Opera Hat Mares Chase.

Returning to the scene of her snug beginners' chase success last month, Slowmotion touched a high of 39-1 in-running but stayed on best of all to collar Solita on the run-in. She went on to score by four lengths, something that looked very unlikely with a mile to race when she was fully 25 lengths behind the pacesetting Listen Dear.
