Despite coming into the Moyglare Stud Stakes with victories in the Silver Flash Stakes and Debutante, it was tempting to take Skitter Scatter none too seriously looking at what she had to beat.

That temptation proved wrong. The daughter of Scat Daddy was emphatic in victory, providing trainer Patrick Prendergast and rider Ronan Whelan with a memorable first Group 1 success, cementing in the process her position as the top juvenile filly in Ireland.

It proved easier than it appeared it was going to be at one stage. Having been settled off the pace, she was being ridden and looked to be struggling to make an impact two furlongs out, but she began to make good headway with a furlong to go and came home powerfully inside the last to account for Lady Kaya by two lengths.
