Silent Attack bounces back from carnival calamity to score for prolific Fox
William Cox would have won the feature 0-95 7f handicap even without his oft-valuable 5lb claim, such was the ease with which his mount Silent Attack plundered first prize in the £11,500 contest.
Cox is developing a formidable strike-rate when teaming up with Saeed Bin Suroor and the ready two-and-a-quarter length success of topweight Silent Attack took the rider's record to four winners from five rides for the Godolphin trainer.
Silent Attack looked a shadow of his former self on his final two starts of last year's Dubai Carnival but it looked significant that connections were persevering with the son of Dream Ahead, and strong market support throughout the day indicated the five-year-old was ready to get his career back on track.
