Ruth Carr endured a day to forget after she reported one of her horse boxes to have been stolen from the lorry car park at Thirsk, with its whereabouts unknown.

Carr had two runners on the card and thankfully neither were in the box, with both horses taking their chances in the concluding 5f handicap but failing to hit the frame.

The trainer learnt of the news before arriving at Thirsk and took to Twitter to alert her followers, with the relevant authorities notified.
