Still on a high from winning on 1,000 Guineas heroine Billesdon Brook at the track the night before, Sean Levey returned to Chelmsford to notch another victory on Hard Nut in the 6f maiden.

The Richard Hannon-trained colt built on the promise of his debut fifth at Windsor when recording a neck victory over the fast-finishing My Motivate Girl.

"He had the experience and was quick out the gates and from there, he had the run of the race," said Levey. "It's hard to know what he's beat but he's won well."
