Sea Wall among tidal wave of winning favourites at Midlands track

Punters were sad that it was the last jumps action of the season at the Midlands track as there were five winning favourites out of six, highlighted by Sea Wall who completed a hat-trick in the 2m handicap chase.

Not many three-time winners go straight to the sales ring but that is where the 4-5 chance may head after handing Chris Gordon a rare winner at the track.

Gordon, who was still nursing a hangover from the previous day, was displeased to see winning jockey Tom Cannon make off with the prize. He said: "I'll have that champagne, I want to kick on again after that!"
